Flovvy is a personal expense management app that lets you record expenses, scan receipts, organize budgets and accounts, and share expenses in groups. This policy explains what data we process when you use the app, for what purposes, on what legal bases and for how long.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account data | User ID, email, name, profile image (received at sign-in with Google or Apple). |
| Expense data | Expenses, amounts, accounts, categories, budgets, tags, lists, notes. |
| Receipt images | Photos of the receipts you choose to scan and the extracted text. |
| Shared expenses | Groups, splits and participants you create or join. |
| Purchases & subscriptions | Subscription status and in-app purchases, AI credits and related transactions. |
| Technical / diagnostic data | Device model, operating system, app version, crash and error information. |
We process your data to provide the service (record and sync expenses, scan receipts, manage subscriptions and credits) on the basis of performance of the contract; for security, stability and prevention of abuse and fraud on the basis of our legitimate interest; and for accounting and tax obligations related to purchases on the basis of a legal obligation.
When you scan a receipt, the image and/or extracted text is sent to Google's artificial intelligence services (Gemini / OCR) to recognize items, amounts and categories. Processing runs on a paid tier where, under the provider's terms, data is not used to train the models and is not subject to human review; Google acts as a data processor.
We rely on providers acting as data processors on our behalf:
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Account and expense data is stored in the European Union. Some providers (for example for AI processing or error monitoring) may process data outside the EU, on the basis of appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data linked to your account (expenses, receipts, settings) is kept for the lifetime of the account and is deleted or anonymized when the account is closed. Data related to purchases and accounting records may be kept longer where required by law. Technical and diagnostic logs are kept for a limited period, in line with the providers' policies.
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy (portability), and restrict or object to processing. To exercise these rights, write to support@flovvy.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your competent supervisory authority.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app via Profile → Privacy & data → Delete account, or by email. Full instructions are on the Delete account page. Upon deletion, personal data is erased or anonymized; in shared expenses your entries are disassociated from your identity so as not to affect other participants.
To prevent abuse of welcome credits, after deletion we keep for up to 30 days only a one-way hash of your email (not the email itself), which is then deleted automatically. This does not allow us to identify or contact you.
Flovvy is not intended for children below the age required by applicable law to consent to digital services. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy. In case of significant changes we will provide notice through the app or this site, updating the date at the top.
